$725.00
The Intermediate Design Development package provides concept development, product selection, sample drawings and guideline specifications for multiple equipment to provide a comprehensive and coordinated system for an installation with a single emergency generator.
Description
Guiding your design of prime and standby power systems!
The Intermediate Design Development support package is suitable for more elaborate projects. This package is intended to offer support in the selection of multiple products to provide a comprehensive and coordinated system for an installation with a single emergency generator. An example suitable for this support package is the design of a complete fuel storage, fuel filtration and fuel transfer system for a large emergency generator. Such a comprehensive system may include equipment such as a bulk fuel storage tank, remote fuel fill station, fuel-oil piping, day tanks and a fuel maintenance system.
One-on-one support includes:
- An Initial Call to define general scope of work, performance requirements, project design timeline, and any pre-established budgets for the necessary equipment.
- Up to three (3) Conference Calls with the designated electrical and/or mechanical design team to develop the design concept, present proposed products and answer technical questions.
- Review of client’s progress plans, and electronic submission of markups/corrections to assist in the development of such plans.
- Review of customer-furnished technical specifications (book specifications), and submission of markups/corrections to coordinate with the equipment arrangement shown in the plans.
Deliverables include:
- Sample pictorial drawing(s) (PDF format) for the selected product(s). These are standard dimensional drawings, and may not reflect all custom design requirements.
- Edited copy of customer-furnished technical specifications (Word document) for the client’s use in bid documents. These specifications will include performance and material requirements, as well as electrical characteristics for the selected product (if applicable).
- Budget estimate (equipment only) for the selected product(s).
What you can expect after you place your order:
- An Initial Call is conducted within 48 hours of receipt of your order.
- Following the Initial Call, an electronic request will be sent, asking for certain data to allow us to develop a conceptual design for the client. Typical data required from the client may consist of a site plan and/or building room plan, required generator output rating, as well as copies of any progress plans and/or specifications (if available).
- The Conference Calls are coordinated and conducted with consideration for the project’s deadlines. The last Conference Call is typically held after an updated set of plans (incorporating the design elements) is available from the client. This final call is intended to fine-tune the design.
- All deliverables are transmitted electronically, and prior to the final Conference Call.
- Courtesy follow-up communication to confirm receipt of Deliverables and to answer any final questions.
